Contribution to Sakal Relief Fund

HELPING HANDS

In the wake of the recent Sangli and Kolhapur district floods, our students from Std V to X raised a fund of Rs 2 lakhs towards flood relief in these regions. The unique feature of this fund raising was that the students did so through their own savings and earnings. Students did various kinds of small jobs like cleaning cars and two wheelers, running errands, making bookmarks, paper bags, cookies etc. and selling them. Students thus learnt the value of money besides being sensitive towards the happenings around them. It also inculcated a sense of social responsibility in them. The collected amount was handed over to Mr. Malhar Arankalle, Consulting Editor of Sakal Group for "Sakal Relief Fund" officials, in a ceremony held on 4^th oct 2019, in the Muktai Hall.
